New Terra began in an age of primordial magic and colossal creatures. Humanity rose during the absence of the ancient races, built a technological civilization, and believed the world belonged to them. Then magic and the old peoples returned.

The collision reshaped the planet and ignited a century of war. The Rising Dawn Treaty stopped the open destruction, but it did not erase fear, pride, propaganda, old wounds, or competing visions of the future.
