Community Play Terms

VERSION 1.0

Rising Dawn Community Play Terms

Plain-language terms for the free public playtest. Commercial rights remain reserved.

1. Ownership

Rising Dawn, Rising Dawn RPG, the official setting, published text, logos, artwork, maps, characters, page designs, and other original materials are created and owned by Jonny D. Copyright and other rights are reserved except for the permissions expressly granted below.

2. Free personal and noncommercial play

You may access, download, print, and use official Rising Dawn materials for personal and noncommercial tabletop play. You may create characters, campaigns, locations, enemies, stories, house rules, and other material for your own games.

3. Noncommercial community activity

You may discuss, review, photograph, record, or stream gameplay; share noncommercial fan characters, campaigns, enemies, and tools; and link to official Rising Dawn pages and downloads. Clearly identify fan material as unofficial and credit Rising Dawn RPG and Jonny D.

4. Commercial use is not granted

You may not sell, license, commercially distribute, repackage, republish, merchandise, or commercially exploit official Rising Dawn material or a derivative product using Rising Dawn branding without prior written permission. Commercial actual-play sponsorships, paid tools, paid adventures, convention products, merchandise, publishing, and licensing requests should be submitted through the feedback/contact page.

5. Official artwork and branding

Official logos, artwork, maps, and branded page designs may not be reused in commercial products or presented as official approval. Reasonable noncommercial use in reviews, discussion, and gameplay posts is permitted when it does not replace the official source or imply endorsement.

6. Feedback and submissions

By submitting feedback, corrections, suggestions, or game ideas, you give the creator permission to review, adapt, combine, and use that feedback in continued development without creating an obligation to compensate or credit you. Do not submit confidential material or content you do not have permission to share.

7. Public-playtest status

The game is provided as an evolving public playtest. Rules, balance, terminology, artwork, and files may change. No guarantee is made that a particular version will remain available or compatible with later versions.

8. Permission requests

Commercial, publishing, partnership, and special-use requests may be sent through the Feedback and Contact page.

These are the project’s current community-use terms, not individualized legal advice. Formal contracts or licenses may use additional terms.
