Often told in tales as short, cherry people, the Dwarves are in reality quite the opposite. Most Dwarves stand 7-8 feet in height, towering over the races. It’s often thought the confusion of their size is due them being seen whilst mining, forced into an uncomfortable pose. The Dwarves are masters of machinery, using only their inherently attuned minds and available material. They have the ability to build just about anything from anything, and as such have an advantage unfamiliar to any other race.
Combat:
Dwarves often choose to prepare previous to an immediate necessity for their machines, and are capable of creating massive turrets or armies of mechanical drones. This being said, it is not uncommon to see Dwarves prepare small turrets or mechanical allies in the midst of a fight. They fit the support role generally well in combat, as they can prepare machinery to aid their allies in very short amounts of time. While having a gift for building, some Dwarves may prefer to use their large stature to their advantage instead, and wield massive weapons to combat opponents.
Geography:
The Dwarven towns are closely connected via undeground tunnels, in The Realm of Krabia. A large portion of these civilized lands of the north are dug into the side of mountains, where the Dwarves are free to work and live. Little is known about the Dwarves lands as they are rarely explored by anyone except themselves. Industry rules here as mining and mineral work are in surplus, supplying a majority of the minerals for the rest of New Terra.
Movement:
The Dwarves have a plethora of options for transportation. They can build large mechanical vehicles capable of performing a variety of tasks. The Dwarves craftsmanship in this area is renown, as they are well know for making expansive war ships and armored vehicles. Outside of vehicles, Dwarves can burrow underground and rise up within moments, quickly covering land and remaining unseen.
Government:
Dwarven civilization generally has no need or care for a form of government. Most Dwarves keep to themselves, socializing rarely and only if necessary. While it is not unheard of for Dwarves to be rulers or leaders, it will be a rare sight to find a Dwarven town under one person’s rule.

Race Perception
Humans are proud to be a part of a strong military government who saved them from the onslaught of the savage and brutal lesser races.
Elves are treacherous, duplicitous and back stabbing. They present themselves as a shining light of civility but are no better than a snake waiting to strike and destroy our very existence. Above all else, dealings with the Elves should be assumed as a prelude to an attack.
Orcs are savage and disgusting barbarians with which no reason or rationality can be achieved. While Orcs have no pretense to who they are, unlike the pompous Elves, they will sooner split your skull than give you the time of day.
Dwarves hide in their mountains, presumably building and plotting their attack on the Human race. While we have very few dealings with Dwarves, we do know that their history with the Elves make them untrustworthy.
Mutants are nothing more than urban legends, stories told to keep people from wandering into the wasteland alone. Even if Mutants were real, they would be no match for our mighty military power. Although, there is a standing order to not enter the Wasteland with less than a garrison of support.

During a great golden age, some 375 million years ago, the Dwarves lived in the great mountains, away from all others, enjoying their inventions and solitude. They were
inventive with a variety of creations from steam powered mine carts and airships to their deep Earth Rune Magic. One day the planet began to convulse,releasing massive volcanic eruptions in the oceans, making the seas rise to cover the land. Species of plant life began to evolve rapidly, releasing high amounts of Carbon Dioxide into the air, causing a terrible freeze of most life. The Dwarven navigators then found a comet that was heading towards Earth, and brought this information to the Elves and Orcs. Not only would they drown and freeze, but they would burn as well. As a last ditch effort the Elves, Orcs and Dwarves along with several smaller races banded together to try and escape. Creating a steam and rune powered ark of sorts to hold everyone, the Elves combined their magic with that of the Orcs to slip out of time moments before the comet impact, the magic left the world with all magical beings. To the magical beings, only moments had passed till they returned in modern times, to find the Earth infested by man.
The Earth had been changed when the races returned, shifting the continents and land masses, killing half the human population in a 24 hour period. The Humans attacked the Elves, thinking this was an act of war. The Orcs seized the opportunity and attacked the Elves as well, hoping to crush their long time enemies. The Dwarves, along with many of the smaller races made their way to the mountains to defend themselves, knowing it would only be a matter of time before the Elves and Orcs turned their attention to them as well as the Humans, they began their own preparations for war.

The war, now known as the Scorched Earth War, lasted nearly 100 years before the final battle that witnessed all four races on the battlefield in what was now being called the wastelands that once was magnificent cities, majestic mountains and lush forests. Now it was a desolate wasteland, destroyed by magic and technology combined. It was during this final battle that a lone cloaked figure emerged and kidnapped the leader of the Dwarves, Humans, Orcs and Elves and took them to an unknown location. No one knows exactly what was told to them, but it was rumored that this figure showed each of them what would happen if they continued their war. When the leaders returned, all sides stood down and began talks of peace.
The Dwarves still kept to themselves but did begin to work with the other races in trade and building particular things for precious metals, knowing that the only way all the races were going to survive was by working together, like it or not.
King Siuag: “Dwarves, Elves, Orcs and Humans, together we will build a brighter and safer future for our races.”
The Dwarves, much like the Elves, government is a Monarchy, and there is very little rising in the ranks beyond a Commander. Dwarves tend to excel at their chosen professions, primarily in Engineering, Melee Combat and Rune Magic, this along with their massive size and strength makes them a true force to be reckoned with if you get on their wrong side.
